Before the world, there were only four beings.  These four beings were Fox, Wolf, Tiger, and Lion.  There was nothing around them, and they lived alone in the dark emptiness that surrounded them.  They weren't ever hungry, or tired, but they often felt lonely and bored in this dark empty space.
The four beings had a special power: they could create whatever they wanted.  They just had to think it, and the object would appear.  The only thing that held them back was that the idea had to be thought and agreed on by all four beings.  However, they often disagreed with each other, and few things ever got done.
One day, Lion and Wolf decided that it was too empty and quiet, and decided to make other living creatures.  They consulted Fox and Tiger for their views on the idea.  Unfortunately, Fox and Tiger were happy by themselves and wouldn't play along.  Finally, after many requests, Fox grew impatient and asked Tiger if they should just yield to the idea.  Tiger, who was also getting frustrated, agreed, but said that, first, they would need to create a place for the creatures to live.  Fox also demanded that the creatures not get the privileges that he and his companions had.  He wanted to be one of the only four who had the privileges of roaming endlessly in empty space, no hunger, and no tiredness.  No matter how much his companions teased him, or requested that he changed his mind, he wouldn't let the Others have the privileges, for he was slightly selfish and immensely proud of himself and his friends.  At long last, Tiger, Lion, and Wolf gave up on persuading him and turned to the issue of a place for the Others to live.
Each of the four beings had a different idea of what the ideal world would be.  Tiger wanted something big, like herself himself, and churning with violence, which he thought would make the Others tougher and stronger.  Lion wanted something peaceful and beautiful, a paradise so that the Others could live together like brothers and sisters.  Wolf wanted something where only his kind could survive, cold and isolated.  Fox wanted something isolated as well, but also wanted it to be small, so that not too many creatures would be able to live there.
There was much quarreling over this, and soon the four became engaged in a battle.  Each wanted desperately for their own ideas to take shape and for themselves to be recognized as the creator of the world.  Tiger and Wolf fought using their strength, and between them, the fight was fierce and bloody.  Fox and Lion fought with their wit, sending degrading words at each other.  Fox, who was impatient as usual, grew tired of exchanging taunts with Lion, and decided to join Tiger’s and Wolf’s fight.  Being smaller than the others, the most he managed to do was rake Tiger’s pelt with his claws, which is why to this day all tigers have striped pelts.  Tiger, furious, bit Fox on the neck and flung him out of the battle.  Fox lay, unconscious, for quite a while, with blood pooling around him, which is why, to this day, a fox’s pelt is red.  Finally, the four realized that if the fighting went on, then they world would never be created.  They agreed to let everyone have the place that they’d wanted.  Tiger imagined a great round rock with storms that ravaged it.  He made the rock red, like the blood shed in battles.  He also made another rock, which was blue-green and pretty big as well.  It had dim rings around it.  Lion made another huge rock.  Hers wasn’t as big as Tiger’s, because she herself wasn’t as big as him.  The massive rock was round, also like Tiger’s, but Lion’s had beautiful rings around it and much less violence.  From a distance away, it looked quite peaceful.  Her other rock was a beautiful blue color, and smaller than her first one.  Wolf created two places for the Others to live; they were smaller than both Lion’s and Tiger’s round rocks, for he himself was much smaller than them.  One was a murky place in which few creatures could survive, another was a cold isolated rock that, compared with the other rocks, was extremely small.  Lastly, Fox made two red rocks, in honor of his now-red coat.  One was tiny; the other was a bit bigger, about as big as Wolf’s murky and gaseous place.  As Fox himself was small and also wanted only a few Others to settle on his round rocks, he made them extremely small compared to the other rocks.  There was one thing that the system needed, but no one knew exactly what.  After a while, Fox came up with the answer:  The whole place was too dim.  Without light, no one would be able to see anything.  So the four beings thought about light.  They thought about what form it should take, how bright it should be, where it should be.  Finally they decided on a huge stone that would hold a lot of light.  After the stone was made, Fox stuck pieces of wood into cracks so that it could burn.  Then, he took the brightest flame from the tip of his tail and lit the stone on fire.  The fire was so hot that it burned the wood and melted some of the rock.  It grew so bright that the four beings hurt their eyes looking at it.
Now the four beings imagined creatures—all sorts of them---living in different places.  However, every single one died.  Looking at all of the different terrain in different places, Wolf wondered what would happen if they combined to form a single place for the Others.  They imagined a perfect world.  They decided to create a world that was about as big as Fox’s Bigger Red Rock, which could hold the perfect amount of Others.  Fox made the flat, dry land and deserts; Wolf made the skyscraping snow-covered mountains and forests, Lion made the rushing rivers, calm lakes, and wide oceans, and Tiger made the clouds, storms, earthquakes, and wind.  Earth was born.  All was set for settlement.  For the last time, the four of them imagined Other creatures of all different sizes, shapes, and colors, and the Others settled in their favorite places.  Fish swam into the water, birds flew into the air, and beasts roamed the land.
Over time, Fox, Wolf, Tiger, and Lion went on to form the universe.  Over time, other smaller rocks came to and joined the solar system.  Over time, a group of similar Others would develop more intellect than any other creature, and become the world’s superpower.  They would create their own society, their own lifestyle, and their own world.  They called themselves Humans.  Yet, being the most powerful on Earth, they soon forgot the forces that created them, and became vain and proud.  They often made terrible mistakes, and frequently fought and killed each other.  The four beings looked down at Earth in dismay, wondering what would happen to their first successful creation.  Then they decided that if it really did fail, they could always go on to create more.  Whether they really did create more, no mere human knows.
It's a story I wrote for Science Class. Sorry if it's really long.
